Now, this gets personal . . .
Radio broadcasting is the only work I've ever known, since becoming a kid disc jockey in 1978. Since then, I've done just about all there is to do in radio station operations--jocking several music formats, program director, operations manager, and, of course, loads of commercial/promo production.
I've taken a new course in recent years. I went to college and got a B.A., then straight on to grad school, now I'm in the middle of working on a Ph.D. in Christian Philosophy (quite a change in course, huh?). But I haven't given up broadcasting completely. I hang around Commonwealth Broadcasting, serving part-time as a live and voice-track disc jockey, commercial/promo producer, and whatever holes need filling in. (I'm called the "company spackle.") I do all this for the fun of it, and, of course, to help pay my way through seminary.
Now I'm pursuing something I've always wanted to do, but never had the time until recently. That's to get into voiceover work for people like you. I'm suddenly being heard on spots, presentations, and productions from New York to San Diego, Chicago to Tampa. They even hear me throughout Canada! (Pretty nice, eh?) It's been a pleasure to voice various media projects for notable companies such as Dell Computers, the US Army, Nutrisystem, Samsung, Donald Trump's "Trump University," DirecTV, Mt. Sinai Hospital-New York, California Pharmacists Association, Foundation Capital Group-San Diego, Boston Gear, Pearson Education, Irish Repertory Theatre-New York, and Stanley Mortgage.
